Die sozial politischen Folgen Red-Baiting‘s für die philippinische Gesellschaft sind dramatisch und haben das Potenzial die Stabilität des gesamten demokratischen Systems zu gefährden.
Der vorliegende Report von IPON schaut zurück auf drei erfolgreiche Projektjahre und bietet Hintergrundinformationen und Analysen aktueller themenrelevanter sozialpolitischer und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklungen. Ziel ist nachhaltiges nationales und internationales Interesse an diesem so wichtigen Thema aufrechtzuerhalten und nationale Policy Prozesse anzustoßen die den Ursachen dieses landesweiten Phänomens entschieden entgegenwirken.

Summary (en)
Red-Baiting is the practice to publicly and detractively classify government-critical individuals and organizations as state enemies, communist terrorists or members of communist front organizations has a long tradition in the Philippine politics. The social and political consequences of such practices for Philippine civil society are severe and have the potential to influence the stability of the Philippines democratic system.
This report looks back on three successful project years and provides backgrounds and info’s on the latest relevant political and social developments. It aims to create sustainable national and international awareness for the issue of Red-Baiting and wishes to initiate national policy processes that create preventive measures that tackle the root causes of this country wide phenomenon.
